This 90-minute course is designed to assist mental health professionals and advocates with providing an effective, appropriate, and trauma-informed response to military service members, veterans, and family members who have experienced sexual assault as an adult or childhood sexual abuse. We will discuss the reality of military sexual trauma, including what causes this epidemic to occur. We will address the impact of sexual trauma on survivors, including additional barriers experienced by service members and their families.

At the end of this course you will receive a certificate of completion, the course outline, and instructor biography to use for Continuing Education Credit. This activity consists of 1.5 clock hours of continuing education instruction. Credit requirements and approvals vary per state board regulations.
